Sessional Lab Instructor: Biology Part time, Sessional POSITION SUMMARY The Faculty of Natural Science at The King’s University is seeking a Sessional Lab Instructor in Biology for the Fall term of the 2026-27 academic year. COURSE DESCRIPTIONS BIOL 391 - Biostatistics This course develops student's statistical techniques and reasoning and will focus on both the theory and practice of statistics as it applies to biology. This includes descriptive statistics, probability theory, graphical presentation of data, analysis of variance (ANOVA), contingency tables, measures of association, tests of significance, linear and multiple regression, maximum likelihood methods, model selection, generalized linear models, and non-parametric and computational techniques. Statistical software such as R will be used extensively. This lab will be held on Fridays from 2:00 - 4:50. QUALIFICATIONS • MA or PhD in Biology or related field • Post-secondary teaching experience as either a primary instructor or teaching assistant • Assent to the University’s Christian Statement of Faith found at: kingsu.ca/about-us/careers Position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
